When you enter Shippensburg Speedway Inc. property, you agree to all rules written or amended. Also, you agree to abide by the decisions of the Promoter and Officials!! Decisions of the Promoter are FINAL in all matters and will be in the best interest of racing. All fines and suspensions are minimum and can change with the situation.
1. The Promoter will settle all disagreements and answer any questions the drivers may have. If the Promoter cannot solve the problem, he will seek advice of an Official who can. If you have a problem you may only talk to the Promoter before\ after or between races NOT DURING!!!!!
2. Anyone getting hurt that requires medical attention. Must notify promoter the day of the event. Shippensburg Speedway Inc. holds no liability on any injured party once they leave track facility unless the officials are notified before departure.
3.ANY OBSCENE GESTURES OR LANGUAGE TOWARDS OFFICIALS WILL BE 1 st offence $25.00 fine. 2 nd offence is at the discretion of the track.
4. Age limits are verified at the first race with a signed and witnessed insurance waiver, which is provided by the track. EVERY DRIVER IS REQUIRED TO FILL OUT A LEGIBLE AND COMPLETE DRIVERS FORM, IF THIS IS NOT DONE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE POINTS UNTIL IT IS DONE!! ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 IS REQUIRED TO FILL OUT A MINOR RELEASE FORM.
5 All classes will line up on the grid prior to your heat or feature if you cannot line up you will be placed in the rear of field. On original line-ups all cars have 3 minutes to get on the track. Anyone leaving track surface for any reason after initial green flag has been dropped will not be permitted to return to racing surface. SATURDAY SHOW ONLY, AND FEATURES ONLY: If leaving the track for flat tire under yellow you my pull into designated tire changing area and do tire change only. Any cars pulling to any other pit area will be done for that event and receive point and pay for there finish. You may drive or be pushed to tire changing area, if car needs towed or hooked you will be disqualified. A time limit of 3 minutes once car has stopped in tire change area. Only one tire change stop during feature races.
6. You can use a different car in the heat than used in the feature. If there is an inspection, both cars will be inspected. You must notify the scorer if there is a number change before the green flag of your race. The driver must qualify not the car. SATURDAY NIGHT ONLY: You can only run one class per car.
7. No alcoholic beverages allowed before or during race time. 1 st offense- loss of points for the night and $100.00 fine. 2 nd offense 1month suspension and $150.00 fine. 3 rd barred from pit area for one calendar year. PENALTY FOR ASSAULT!!! 1 st offence any assault to any other party is 2-week suspension from premises, and $100.00 fine. 2 nd offense you are off of premises for one calendar year. POLICE MAY BE CALLED AT ANYTIME!!! Any tech fines that are not paid will result in suspension of car, driver, and car owner. . NO 2-way radios or monitoring systems allowed on Speedway property. 1 st offence, warning and removal of radio. 2 nd offence, $50.00 fine and confiscated. All fines are payable to Shippensburg Speedway Inc., before the party is allowed on track premises
8. Anyone intentionally hitting another person's car out of context of racing this will include caution laps, when checkered flag is dropped, in the exit ramp or in all pit area this will result in a $100.00 fine plus damages that will fairly compensate the driver's property.
9. The flagmen are in charge when the race starts. If a corner flagman throws the yellow and the main has a green flag we will honor the yellow flag. So when you see the yellow flag, SLOW DOWN AND STAY IN LINE. No work can be done on any car during a red flag. 1 st . offense-DQ for that event. If you are black-flagged please pull off the track. If your black-flagged and do not go off the track the caution will be thrown. If black flagged car hits another car the car is given their spot back. If you losing a car part causes a caution, you will be put to the back of the field. During a red flag the only people allowed on track surface are track officials and only people with promoter or grid personnel permission. Flag men will inspect all cars and those found unsafe will be removed from the race. If red flag is dropped and you do not stop and shut off engine in a reasonable distance you will be removed from track surface. No one allowed on track to restart engine. (Go-kart only) - officials will announce entrance to the track, and then only (1) person per car is allowed on the track. UNDER CAUTION 5 OR MORE CARS PAST FINISH LINE WILL HOLD THEIR POSITIONS ALL OTHERS WILL BE LINED UP FROM PREVIOUS LAP AND THAT LAP WILL BE SCORED. IF THE LEADER TAKES THW WHITE FLAG IT WILL BE AN OFFICIAL FINISH. ON ALL CAUTIONS ANYONE WHO WAS IN THE CAUTION WILL BE PUT TO THE REAR BY ORDER OF WHERE THEY WERE THE PRIOR LAP. . ANY TIME YOU ARE NOT LINED UP FIRST LAP YOU PASS MAIN FLAGGER, HE WILL POINT TO RIGHT POSITION. SECOND TIME IF NOT ATTEMPTING TO MOVE INTO POSITION YOU WILL BE PUT TO THE REAR OF THE FIELD. 3 RD TIME IF NOT MOVED TO REAR OF FIELD YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM TRACK, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! ANYONE STOPPING ON TRACK TO COMPLAIN TO OFFICIAL, EXCEPT FOR SAFETY CHECKS IS AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED!! ANYONE GETTING OUT OF DRIVERS SEAT, EXCEPT FOR SAFETY REASONS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. When 1 st car crossed the line under the checkered flag the race is completed. All other cares will be scored as they pass the checkered flag. There will be a ½ hour time limit on all features, which will start when the initial car enters the track. If racing is not completed at the end of the ½ hour, checkered will be thrown and positions scored on last completed lap for pay offs. If time limit falls during a caution the field will be paid as to their restart position. Clock will be stopped during red flag and restarted when first car is re-started. GO-KARTS WILL BE 20 MIN. TIME LIMITS.
10. On all race starts, all racing begins when flagmen drops the green flag. All drivers following pole position must stay in uniform proximity to their car for start. If the first row jumps a double file start, the person jumping will be switched to the second row. Single file restart jumping the start will be penalized 1 position for every bumper passed. On a single file start no brake checking, if determined by officials the car causing the incident will be put to the back of the field and all other cars will be put back in their original positions this is for brake checking only.
11. YOUR PIT SPOT IS YOUR PROPERTY FOR THAT NIGHT ANYONE ENTERING YOUR PIT AREA AND WITNESSED BY OFFICIALS CAUSING A FIGHT IS A FINE $100.00 .
12. If a class is black-flagged it will be ran at the end of the program according to the last completed lap. If there are one or more laps completed, no one who left the track can restart. If there are no completed laps the original line up will apply and all cars can restart the race.
13. Any lapped cars will hold their position at last completed lap. Lapped cars will be put in front of any cars that were in the caution unless they chose to go to the rear. If you are considered a hazard you will be flagged into the infield; but will receive points for position. Cars off the track for any reason other than misconduct will also receive points for their finishing position. BLUE FLAG - If you see a blue flag and do not hold your line you will be black-flagged. YELLOW FLAG- during yellow anyone stopping on track goes to back of field, except for safety checks. ANY EXCESSIVE SPEED THROUGH PITS, AND EXCESSIVE SPEED DURING CAUTION will be a minimum of $75.00 fine.
14. Anyone rough riding at any time or intentionally taking another car out will be put to the rear or black flagged at the discretion of the track official, there may or may not be warnings. Anyone seen causing someone to spin during a caution or re-line up will be sent to the back. If the first place car is intentional taken out during the checkered flag lap, the first place car will keep their position.
15. All drivers must have a way to shut off their motors while sitting in the driver's seat .
16 . SATURDAY NIGHT clothing regulations are Snell 95 or newer, full face helmet, racing suit, nomex or fire retardant gloves and neck brace, or track approved device are MANDATORY! All car divisions must have door safety nets. No cars will be permitted to run 2 classes on the same night. SATURDAY NIGHT ONLY! (This does not include special races). Most dry cleaners will re-nomex racing suits. This should be done yearly.
17 . FROM THE TOWER!!!!!!! Scorers in the tower must see all numbers and letters, numbers and letter must be the same on all 4 sides of the vehicle. If you have any question about your number please ask the head scorer. ALL NUMBERS AND LETTERS MUST BE THE SAME SIZE!! ALSO NO GLITTER NUMBERS. If the tower cannot see or read the numbers or letters clearly they will not guess, you simply will not be scored and you will be told so after that race is completed. Anyone adding a number or letter, tower must be able to see it easily and not cover his or her number. There will be no red numbers on black cars and no blue numbers on red cars.
FLAGS AND THEIR MEANINGS ON RACE DAY: GREEN=means go, practice or race start. YELLOW= means slow down and do not pass during practice or race (the entire track is under caution). RED= means stop immediately and shut down engine. BLACK= MEANS SLOW DOWN IMMEDIATELY AND LEAVE THE TRACK. Something is dangerously wrong with your car, you were disqualified or the flagman is clearing the track. A rolled black or yellow flag pointed at you indicates you are driving dangerously, blocking, jumping, weaving or suspected of team driving. If you persist, the flagman will give you the full black flag. BLUE= means hold line; faster drivers are about to lap you. GREEN AND YELLOW= together rolled and crossed indicates half way through the race. Together and rolled horizontally indicates 2 laps to go. WHITE= means one more lap to complete the race. CHECKERED=means race is over, slow down and exit with caution.
18. concys: if a concy is needed the cars will have 5minits to report to the grid after announcing cars to the grid, at that time if all cars on the grid can qualify no concy will be ran. You cannot run any qualified cars for that event feature in the concy.
19. Laps to car counts Go-kartes: 6 or more complete feature, 5 or less cars 4 lap heat race and 8 lap feature. (Any class with 4 or less cars may be run together but scored separately). Saturday classes: 9 cars or more complete feature, and invert pill draw, invert never higher than top half of field. 6 TO 8 cars 15 lap feature no invert. 5 or less cars 4 lap heats and 8 laps feature no invert.
NOTE: ANYTHING NOT COVERED IN THESE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE THE DISCRETION OF THE TRACK PERSONNEL WITHOUT RECOURSE FROM ANY DRIVER OR OWNER ALL SPECIFICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO REVISION.
